Ben Dolce
Freelance Writer
As a materials consultant for 20 years, Ben authored hundreds of engineering reports. But during that time, he also wrote creatively for fun and completed many novels and short stories. His creative writing during this time also included a sci-fi screenplay.
After dramatic life changes in 2011, Ben “semi” retired from consulting. However, through word of mouth he commissioned various projects as a freelancer or ghostwriter and the work suited him.
Over time, screenplays became a major part of the business and Ben wrote scripts for television (pilots and episodes), videos (YouTube and similar), and “spec” feature films for the big screen. He also created multiple series of novellas for two clients, and some of these books boasted time in the top 100 list on Amazon.
With this newfound success, Ben quickly started writing full time and has continued to grow the freelance business ever since. He consistently writes novels, screenplays, and content for several repeat clients. Plus, every month Ben tackles projects for new clients which include screenplays, novels, novellas, short stories, articles, blog entries, etc.
Ben writes 7 days a week from his home just outside of Myrtle Beach. In his free time, he enjoys reading scripts, brewing beer, cooking, golf, and on occasion watches a movie or some television – just to analyze the writing of course!
